SEĆANJA (2025)
Reminiscing on photos found at a street market, the Sećanja zines explore found media, docufiction and experimental storytelling through the prism of letters between old friends, lovers, coworkers. Set in the 60s in Yugoslavia, the zines take a nostalgic look at a time that once was and ponder about the lives that the subjects of these photos might have lived. From the beach landscapes of Herceg Novi to the queer yearning present in the Zrenjanin photos, these photos tell truly human stories.
Herceg Novi, 1968. Based on the tiny details, I was able to put together a narrative of nostalgia to a young love between Milan and Radmila, about the card games in which Sloba always won, the alcohol they drank from canisters.
